Well, this year, at the Festival’s opening night event, we want to welcome YOU and everyone who wants to relive some of the magic and memories made during the 2022 Games.

Join award-winning BBC presenter Ayo Akinwolere and Radio 1Xtra’s Kaylee Golding – ‘Your favourite Gyal from Brum!’ – for a packed evening of entertainment to celebrate what Birmingham achieved, exactly one year on from the Games’ spectacular kick-off at Alexander Stadium.
OPENING EVENT PERFORMANCES!
Expect broadcast highlights and newly commissioned films, interviews with guest creatives and athletes, a dynamic parade and rousing musical performances, before a never-seen-before live performance from Birmingham Music Archive’s ‘sonic love letter’ to Birmingham, On Record.
